Carbon credits are emerging in popularity as a method for companies and citizens to offset their carbon footprint. Essentially, a carbon credit represents one ton of carbon dioxide removed from the atmosphere or prevented from being emitted. When a company or individual buys a carbon credit, they are funding to a project that actively reduces green
